• Set your personal fundraising goal. Sponsor yourself, so team members and potential donors know you are serious about the cause.

• Invite family and friends, neighbors, church members, co-workers, club members, business associates, people from your school and/or place of worship as well as clubs and/or organizations with whom you are involved to join you for some great fun and a great cause. Everyone can benefit from the experience!
  • A great way to get people to join is to host a Walk Kick-off Event for family, friends, and co-workers. Make it a casual gathering. Show the Can Do Canines video (request at www.heelandwheel@can-do-canines.org) and share your own story so they can learn why you are involved with this organization.
  • Ask each person who joins your team to recruit another member.
